FAQs

What happens if the power goes out?

Your automated garage door will have a manual release option - often a red cord or lever. In most cases, you can disengage the motor using the manual release and manually open your door.  Don’t forget to re-engage the motor using the cord, lever or sometimes a green button once the power is back on.

Manual release procedure can vary slightly between motor models - if you have concerns just call us and we can talk you through the process.

My sectional door goes up about 15cm then goes back down - what could be wrong?

Do a quick visual check of the torsion bar that runs across the garage - usually right above your closed door. You just might have a broken spring that looks a bit like this:

Don’t panic - we always carry springs in stock and we prioritise this type of issue so your down-time is minimal.

Oops I’ve hit my door with the car

Believe it or not, this happens more often than you think! We attend a Car vs Door incident at least once a week. Our experienced team will do what they can to get your door safe and operational and then quote a replacement door or panels.

Do we service doors?

Just as your car needs regular servicing, so does your garage door. The average garage door will go up and down 1500 times per year. Give the door some love - you won’t believe the difference.

Do we sell remotes?

We stock hand transmitters and accessories for leading brands such as B&D, Automatic Technology (formerly ATA), Merlin, and Grifco. If you don't see your motor brand listed, don't worry – we likely have what you need, or if we don’t we can easily source it.

Do we travel?

YES we do! As a rule our service area is approx 150km radius of Bendigo BUT we will travel further if required - call us to discuss!

I’m in need of a replacement door and/or motor - can you take the old one away?
It’s all part of the service - when we come to install your new door or motor we will happily remove and dispose of your old or damaged one.
