What is a Sectional Door?

A Sectional Door is also known as a panel lift door.

It is a door that is manufactured and installed in sections. From the outside of your garage a sectional door will look a bit like this:

From the inside of the garage this is what you might see:

When your new sectional door is received by us from the manufacturer, this is what we see:

For the installation of your sectional door we ask that your garage be clear of all obstructions so that we can safely and efficiently ‘build’ the door from the inside of the garage.

The motor for a sectional door is generally located in the middle of the garage ceiling.

A sectional door has many moving parts - springs, cables, wheels, hinges and bearings.

It is extremely important to ensure your Sectional Door is regularly serviced.  We recommend this be done annually to monitor all the parts for signs of wear and tear, avoid costly and inconvenient breakdowns and to ensure your door is operating as quietly and smoothly as possible.

Servicing is also a requirement under the manufacturers’ warranty conditions.
